Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr.
Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr., is the Founder of Total Outreach for Christ Ministries, Inc. (TOFCM) and Word of Outreach Christian Center and Academy. Headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA.
He was born in 1946, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and received Christ in 1959. After working with his father for several years in evangelistic ministry, he had a powerful visitation of the Holy Spirit in September 1974. After traveling extensively as an evangelist he was led of the Lord to return to Arkansas and in 1981, he and his wife, Dr. Carolyn A. Smith began their Pastoral Ministry in their two-car garage; Word of Outreach Christian Center located in the urban area of Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. Under their leadership, this multifaceted ministry has grown beyond the 6 individuals that faithfully met with them in their 2-car garage to affecting the lives of men and women globally. Since it's inception in 1989, Word of Outreach, fully accredited, Christian Academy continues to train hundreds of students as "Champions for Christ" through its daycare/pre-K through 12th grades.
Bishop Smith's vision is for the ministry "To be a clear voice and working example of God's people on the earth. (I Timothy 4:12, Titus2:7, 11-15: 3:8). TOFCM 16-acres campus operates facilities for staff housing, school of ministry, and a Family Life Development Center. The ministry's International Office serves as the nerve center for radio, TV and Christian material distribution.
Called and gifted to teach, his apostolic calling has led him to share the message of true biblical reconciliation to the overcomers in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. However, since the release of the book The Elimination of Erroneous Distinctions in the Body of Christ, the request for this unusual message has escalated in the United States. His powerful teaching on the revelation of "The New Man" is setting the stage for the fulfillment of John 17, the Lord's Prayer that we all be one as the Father and the Son are one. His written publications are for the building up and edification of the Body of Christ, and include such titles as:
